Bais Yaakov Day Camp will maintain a lost and found area throughout the summer.  Any objects left after the summer season will become hefker.

Lunches will be served daily at no extra charge.  The menu will be posted on the website once camp begins,

Bais Yaakov Day Camp is a place where campers can enjoy a fun, uplifting summer while continuing to grow spiritually. We aim to reinforce the values and learning developed throughout the school year and, when possible, to help them grow even further.

At camp, we believe that fun and meaningful experiences go hand in hand with maintaining our standards in conduct, speech, and dress. Tznius is a central value of our camp. While styles and trends change, our commitment to halachic guidelines remains constant. As you prepare your daughter’s wardrobe, we appreciate your partnership in ensuring that all clothing reflects these values. Our guiding principle is simple: when in doubt, do without.

Please be sure that:

• Knee socks are to be worn.
• Sleeves cover the elbows under all circumstances.
• There are absolutely no slits in your skirts (even if the slit begins below the knee).
• Tight-fitting clothing may not be worn.
• No nail polish may be worn on fingernails or toes.
• No leggings may be worn.
• Sneakers with wheelies are not permitted in the Ashar building.

To help create a relaxed and enjoyable camp experience, we do not allow phones, electronic devices, and electronic games in camp. This allows campers to be fully present and engaged in all that camp has to offer.  Musical devices (including mp3 players, iPods, or phones without service) are also not part of the camp experience, even on trips and overnights. If a device is Brought along, it will be safely kept in the camp office and returned to a parent at the end of the camp season.

Nit checks will take place for all first half and full summer campers on Sunday, June 28th from 9:30-11:30 at Ashar, 360 New Hempstead Road.  The cost is $10 per camper, cash only, no checks. 

The cost of a private appointment is $15 per child.

Ashar is located at: 360 New Hempstead Rd, New City, New York 10956.  Please take note that you cannot make a left turn from New Hempstead Road into Ashar’s parking lot. You will be ticketed for crossing a double yellow line.

To ensure our children’s safety, please make sure that carpools drop off and pick up children ONLY in the designated area on the campgrounds.
